I love these big old beautiful live oak trees! *22

Well we got a chance to go on a day trip to Myrtle Beach to take a friend of my youngest two leg critter back to his home after he was here to see all of our critters. Once we dropped him off…. we went to find a nice quiet place to see if we could look up some of my critter’s relatives and see what they were up to in this nice coastal habitat. We didn’t have to look far….. we found a wonderful grove of live oak trees! Just the right place to find wild critters. We were in good company and shared our lunch with the critters while we checked in on the relatives of my critters and some of their friends. Miss Lefty and our other Northern Cardinals, along with the Blue Jay families were in luck we found tons of their relatives they were every where and were glad to come and sit with us and share our lunch and catch up on who was where and who had how many sons and daughters? The ever curious Brown Headed Nuthatch and Yellow Rump (Myrtle)Warblers wanted to know how their friends were doing that had come to my place for a short vacation before it comes time to migrate…. I let them in on who was now paired up with who and it might last through courtship if all continues as it was when we left for this day trip! They all rolled with laughter at my prediction…… we’ll see … I’ve been doing this for awhile. We also got to meet some new critters and made lasting friendships too and will be stopping by when they can too. Let’s see there were the handsome Redheaded Woodpeckers, the lovely Northern (Yellow-shafted) Flickers and can’t forget the Cedar Waxwings, also the European Starlings… all very beautiful critters indeed! Now I’m sure the thought has crossed every one’s mind by now…..why hasn’t she said anything about the squirrels, surely there were squirrels….. YES, the squirrels ….oh they were there and I know they are related to mine ’cause they have the same attitudes…..but they were friendly and even silly at times…. the younger ones showing off just ’cause “company” was there….. seems like all young critters every where do the same thing! Sad to say we had to clean up our lunch mess and get back on the road home…..there were no good bye to say….. I don’t like to say that myself…. so it was until our paths cross again….. and I know it will. It will soon be migration time and they know they can stop off at my place and have fresh food and water…… keep a look out in your yard…. see any of those critters on their way…. put out some fresh water and some wild bird seed, that has a little something for everything, and help them until they make it to the end of their trip….. so be at peace until our paths cross again and feel free to rest here as long as you like…. look around, put your feet up and enjoy the views…….
